If Only the Movie & I Were Anjaana Anjaani

04 Oct

I was going to write a review of Anjaana Anjaani, but I got bored. Here’s a handy ad that makes the same point – shorter, cheaper and 100% more delicious!

    This should be interesting. Looking forward to reading how it’s possible for a movie to contain partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, smell like plastic when burnt, clog your arteries, and yet be utterly addictive.

      Remove the utterly addictive part and you’ve got a good summary going.

    Oh wow! We’re in Oppositville on this one. I thought it was uncomplicated and really nice, if perhaps way too much like a sunglasses commercial.

    Haha! It sort of fits… they walk alone and suddenly there are too many ppl in the movie as ‘family’ and make no sense.
    But I liked the first half… nothing new in the story but well, not as lame as some other movies.

    LOL! Awesome post. But seriously, even the promos were yawn-worthy. I’m so not seeing it 😛

    @Beth – I appreciated the fact that she got to have a story too (although they eroded my good will by ret-conning her into a bharatiya nari type) but in the end I’ve just seen too many movies over the past couple of years about all the sad young men and their sad young lives and now I’m over it.

    @Leia – yeah, I came out with the same thought: not as bad as some others, which really didnt cut it for me this time around.

    @Pitu – it’s not bad. It’s just a TV movie.

    @Sachita – he’s not anywhere near getting locked in a woolen cage, but he’s definitely settling into a slog period.

    Saw this yesterday, and the thing that stuck was that they’d both lived in the US all their lives and still go “syoocaaide” “syoocaaide” all through :p
    And the Hindi- speaking Coast Guard guy… what? WHAT?!
    But yes… timepass TV movie totally.
