Gawd, did anybody else notice the directorial touch, @1.07 – when he says barrier the camera moves around a beam!!!

The way he speaks reminds me of our primary/middle school dramas, have no clue why he chose to wear two shirts esp. in those colors but most importantly what exactly is he trying to say? beyond the I love yous there were a lot of I know thats…

    True gem this one,thanks.

Sachita, semma Touch illa? I thought *exactly* that, when I saw the beam brought in between him and the camera (thattu, orey the wavelengths namakulla! But tell me, aren’t you the one that vehemently denied this sort of (happenstance) touch etc. in that “Murugan and Red thundu” post of yours, calling the ascribing of “directorial touch” status to such circumstantial occurrences (e.g. herky-jerky camera wielding, in this case) over-analysis by over-enthued critics? Enna, katchi maariyaachaa? LOL!).

And about the orange-over-white shirt combo, my theory is, the guy is proposing to Dolly effing Parton (the guy does mention sizable age difference, status difference… I’m pretty sure it’s her!).

BTW, Amrita, do you plan on staying up for this Great Balls Of Fire “shooting star” show in a coupla hours? Another Old Thing that, U see! 😀

Two shirts? Hmmm. Is this the beginning of a new trend? I have to say, despite the cheesiness, I thought the guy was confident and sweet….ah, to be young again 🙂

I really want to see this girl who likes BMWs, and has boys breaking their hands for her. And this boy, not certain whether he will get a few seconds with her, or minutes. Long queue, it seems. 🙂

I actually thought it was addressed to some film star when he said all that. Somehow I expected him to end with a “I love you, Aishwarya!” or something of the sort.

P.S: And oh, I thought it was really cute that he quickly switches to Tamil when he wants to say “Naan unnai kadhal-ick-rain” — very Udit Narayan-ish but cute. Strangely, reminded me of that Chanda phone sex bit from Dev D (finally watched it last Friday. My sis flew in from NY for spring break visit and thoughfully (so unlike her!) brought along a Netflix DVD. For some reason the local desi store here doesn’t seem to have it — been looking for it forever now, so yay!), where she oh-so-sincerely/seamlessly switches from French (or was it Spanish? Can’t recall… one of those Romance languages) to Tamil, to create that (virtual) comfort cushion for her customer (while a fidgety, semi-flustered Dev looks on). Loved it!

Unrelated note: So! You share your birthday with the Bard??!! Get. Outta. Here. Wow! What could be more wonderful? Gawd, I’m so excited today, I’m dying to give you something… anything. But what? Me is no thoughtful gift-giving type. But wait. How about I say happy birthday with this: [EDITED – coz you shouldnt be putting stuff like that out there you silly billy!]

Head swimmin’ already? Bet you never had to work *this* hard to redeem a birthday gift. 😛

It’s the hit of this corner of the interwebs! 😀 The choice of the two shirts has been puzzling me as well. Did any new Tamil movie release in which someone dressed up like that? Or maybe it’s a home made version of those two tone long sleeved Ts? WHAT IS IT? I bet he chose those colors because his mother told him it brightens him up.

Veena – I live in hope.

Sachita – Hahahahah! This thing truly is a work of art.

Apu – when he was telling her that he wouldn’t jump in the dump for her, I admit, I went a little “awww”. Hee.

Kanan – You should have said yes and said, “meet your new brother in law” Oh, the laughs.

Banno, DO & Piyush – she’s gonna have some tales to tell her grandkids. Sadly, it doesn’t appear that she’ll share them with this dude coz he’s not into the commitment scene.

t(Rue) – not just the bard but also The Pill, lolz. And i edited out my present because I couldn’t understand any of it and decided to be safe rather than sorry in case someone else did. I have stalkers! But don’t worry, it’s all safe in my inbox.

Hey my mantra’s the same as yours, only backwards — “sorry rather than safe” — We’re talking The Pill, right? Lolz! Seriously, who’d have thunk the Bard would resurrect a bloody (re)production revolution! 😛

        p.s – Monday morning, early-hours epiphany: Bard…backwards… “therein lies d’ Rab”… Robin… Williams… What Dreams May Come… Rrrriiinngg! Alarm. Awake. Ammoniakon attention, arrested…

By god, Amrita! How do you even *let* me go ham like this? You must love me or something. 😀
