He lishped in ‘Wake Up Sid’ thoo. I dunno, I am beginning to like Ranbir, as long as he does dumbo/himbo roles. So he might be decent in this.

Well, when has he tried to do anything other than dumbo/himbo roles? Except for Saawariya in which he was a full blown idiot.

He tried his hand at ’emotional, dramatic acting’ in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Good grief, what a pain that was!

That’s such a sweet trailer! I love him in it. Want this to be a winner (squib time in Bolly-land is coming to an end, methinks… damn, the things shikshty sheconds of pep talk can do to your thinking!). 😀

LOL @ Saawariya — so true. And with Sonam “Shrieker” Kapoor, I suppose it was a Halloween release back then. Sucker for melodrama that I am, I loved the movie nonetheless.

And hope you’re comin’ back… in a New York minute? Arre yaar, missin’ you already. 😦

Hey I did! Now remember to tip us off the next time it’s your shift, ok?

BTW, just read your Get Ready for Obama Day write-up.

Will look fwd to catching Ed Norton’s “By the People” and Plouffe’s “The Audacity to Win” then, just so I can stop squirming whenever I think of my complete cluelessness as to how some guy named Obama moved into the White House last year.

Now let me qualify that by shamelessly admitting to never following the Obama campaign (or anything remotely related to politics, for that matter — blanket excuse: too much going on in life-as-I-know-it) but hey, I did vote (amply armed with a “anybody but The Republican” mindset — alarming, isn’t it? But I suspect I may not be alone). Must say though that it’s reassuring to find out there’s a way to retroactively catch up without plowing thru boring puddles of political shit, thanks to your reco: “…taken together, the two perfectly feed the still-simmering fascination with the Obama campaign, even if the Presidency has taken the shine off Barack.”

And ménage à trois isn’t Barack’s thing, you say? Really? LOL!!! Fancy sneaking a line like that into a piece like this — go Gawker!! 😀

I think I’ll like this one. I was “eh” with Saawariya, Bachna Ae Haseeno, and Wake Up Sid, so this one may be the lucky charm for me. Thanks for posting.

he is like his father, born for dumbo, mumbo roles but plays that well which is a lot for a hindi film hero crowd that consists of veterans like akshay kumar, sanjay dutt..
